Dentil Praia Clube player Michelle acknowledges opponent merits after 3-0 loss in the 2026 Women's Supercup.
The Dentil Praia Clube suffered a tough 3 sets to 0 defeat against Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde on Friday, February 16, in São Luís, during the 2026 Women's Supercup. With this victory, the team from São Paulo secured the bicompetition title, leaving the Uberlândia squad with the runner-up finish.
Looking for their second title of the season after winning the Minas Gerais Championship on Saturday, February 10, against Gerdau Minas in Belo Horizonte, Praia struggled significantly with reception and offensive execution throughout the match, according to information published by WEBVOLEI.
Reflecting on the outcome, outside hitter Michelle admitted that the opponent played a superior tactical match, noting that the team needs to evaluate the mistakes made during the clash as they quickly shift their focus to upcoming national competitions.
Tactical Analysis of the Osasco Attack
Michelle pointed out that the opponent generated immense offensive pressure, which deeply complicated the reception system for Dentil Praia Clube. This initial defensive pressure ultimately limited the tactical options available for the setters.
According to the athlete, the physical strength and height of the Osasco squad made it extremely difficult to contain key players like Costa and the other starting outside hitters. The combination of strong blocks and aggressive attacks disrupted the rhythm of the Uberlândia team.
Moving Forward After the Supercup Defeat
Despite the setback, Michelle emphasized the value of testing the squad against high-level competition early in the season and expressed gratitude to the local fans in São Luís for their constant support during the final.
The team immediately turns its attention to the upcoming debut in the national tournament, highlighting that the strong roster must remain focused and united to correct tactical flaws before entering the next round of matches.
