Dallas Mavericks roster under new head coach Dusty May
The Dallas Mavericks enter the new campaign following a difficult 2025/26 season where they finished with 26 wins and 56 losses, missing the postseason entirely in the Western Conference.
The franchise now begins a fresh project directed by head coach Dusty May, who makes his much anticipated coaching debut in the league during this international trip.
Superstar sophomore Cooper Flagg, selected first overall in the 2025 NBA Draft and crowned Rookie of the Year, remains the centerpiece of the squad alongside veteran guard Kyrie Irving.
Houston Rockets look to build on a strong previous campaign
On the opposing side, the Houston Rockets delivered a stellar 2025/26 regular season with 52 victories and 30 defeats, securing the fifth seed in a competitive Western Conference.
Despite their strong standing, the team suffered a first round elimination in the Playoffs for the second consecutive year, motivating them to push further this season.
The roster now features powerhouse forward Kevin Durant, center Alperen Sengun, and rising star Amen Thompson as foundational pillars under the guidance of the front office.
