Boston Celtics plan emotional tribute video for Jaylen Brown during his return with the Philadelphia 76ers in January.
The Boston Celtics are planning a special tribute video to honor their former star, Jaylen Brown, when he returns to TD Garden this season. According to reports, the team has scheduled the recognition for when the Philadelphia 76ers play in Boston in January, skipping a preseason matchup.
This decision marks a heartfelt acknowledgment of Brown, who spent a decade with the franchise that drafted him in 2016. The organization parted ways with the standout guard in July, sending him to Philadelphia in a blockbuster trade that brought Paul George and multiple draft picks to Boston, according to information published by bleache.
The move closed the chapter on a hugely successful ten-year run that included two NBA Finals appearances and a championship title in 2024. During that historic postseason run, Brown earned both Eastern Conference MVP and Finals MVP honors, cementing his legacy in franchise history alongside teammate Jayson Tatum.
