Coach Flávio Tavares relies on home advantage and fans to reverse the deficit against Suzano.
Head coach Flávio Tavares is betting heavily on the strength of the home crowd to guide Viapol São José into the final of the Campeonato Paulista. Following a 3 sets to 1 defeat in the first semifinal match against Suzano away from home, the team faces a crucial must-win scenario.
The decisive showdown takes place this Saturday, October 10th, at 16:00, inside the Farma Conde Arena. The local squad urgently needs a victory on home soil to keep their championship title hopes alive, according to information published by WEBVOLEI.
To secure a spot in the state decision, the team must overcome the initial setback by relying on tactical discipline, maximum physical effort on the court, and the vital backing of their supporters throughout the entire playoff encounter.
The Importance of Playing at the Farma Conde Arena
Coach Flávio Tavares emphasized that earning the right to host the deciding series match was a major objective for the club. Having the Farma Conde Arena packed with supporters creates an intimidating environment for visiting opponents and a massive boost for the home side.
The strategist highlighted that the energy coming from the stands during the most critical moments of the playoffs can tilt the balance in favor of Viapol São José. The club is calling on local fans to fill the venue and act as a genuine seventh player on the court.
Overcoming the Deficit Against Suzano
The journey toward the state final requires an immediate reaction after the 3 sets to 1 loss in the opening leg against Suzano. The technical staff spent the week analyzing mistakes and preparing the squad to deliver a significantly improved performance.
Tavares assured that commitment will not be an issue for his players, promising total dedication inside the lines. The primary goal is to fight until the final whistle, overturn the unfavorable aggregate situation, and advance in the Campeonato Paulista.
How the Golden Set Will Decide the Semifinal
Because Viapol São José lost the first match of the series, a standard victory in Saturday's regular fixture will not be enough to immediately secure the qualification spot.
According to the tournament rules, if the home team wins the upcoming match, the semifinal decision immediately moves to a Golden Set, which will be played right after the main game to determine the ultimate finalist.
